Step-by-step assembly
1. Prep and finish the top first

2. Assemble the frame upside down
Lay the desktop face-down on a blanket to protect the finish. Build the frame directly on top of it, upside down. Attach the two leg columns to the center crossbar, then bolt on the feet. 3. Position and mark the frame

6. Flip, level, and calibrate
Flip the desk upright with a helper. Plug it in and run the reset routine in the manual, usually holding the down button until the desk drops to its lowest point and beeps. That syncs the two motors. Then set your sit and stand memory presets.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Screws too long. The number-one way to destroy a fresh desktop. Measure twice.
- Skipping the motor reset. If the desk racks or tilts, the motors are out of sync. Run the calibration.
- A top that's too heavy or too big. Check your frame's weight rating and max top length. A 60-inch solid oak slab can overload a budget frame.
- Ignoring the crossbar range. Most frames adjust in width to fit tops from 43" to 63". Set it to match your top before final assembly.
